Frequently asked questions
How much will counseling cost me?
My fee is $100 per 60 minute session. For those who can’t afford $100, there is a sliding fee scale that goes as low as $40. Each client determines how much they are able to pay. Clients able to pay the higher fees, make it possible for others to afford the help they need.
Do you bill health insurance?
Yes, I am happy to bill your insurance company. You can use this Health Insurance Questions Guide to talk to your insurance company or, I will be happy to call them for you. Many insurance policies require pre-certification before your first appointment. I have also found that some employers choose a different insurance company for their mental/behavioral health than the insurance company on their medical card.
Are you in-network or out-of-network?
I am an in-network provider for Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, CareSource, Humana, MedBen, Medical Mutual of Ohio, Molina, ValueOptions, UHC/Optum and various smaller companies.
Do you have a sliding fee scale?
Yes. For those who can’t afford the $100 session fee, I offer a sliding fee scale that goes as low as $40. Each client determines how much they are able to pay. A payment plan is available if you have a high deductible or I am out-of-network.
What hours are available for sessions?
Days, evenings, and Saturday.
What do I need to bring to my first session?
Please fill out the three pages on the Forms page and bring them with you to the first session.
What is your approach to counseling?
